Longhorn Review

Some dude from Stardock has a mini-review of Longhorn on the BetaNews site. I have sort of a love hate relationship with Microsoft... I love that I can make a living supporting their software, but I hate that keeping my small network running is as much work as it is. Microsoft has a way of stealing good ideas and making them suck. Now it sounds like they want to do that with HTML. I'm all for a more configurable UI, but not if M$ controls it. The Mozilla project already has a good start on this with XUL.

Building a Balancing Scooter

Some guy built his own scooter similar to the Segway except for one key difference: "There is no redundancy or backup system. It is not even robustly made. Loose wires literally dangle out the bottom. In the fairly likely event of the software crashing, a wire coming loose, a component failing, or the batteries running low, the wheels will lock and the entire kinetic energy of the system will be used to accelerate my head toward the ground. " Hehehe

News flash judge doesn't wipe his ass with the constitution! I don't understand what the principal's problem was. Dearborn does have a large arab population as noted in the article, but the message wasn't anti-arab. Whatever...
